Find Your Online Champions
There’s huge interest right now in finding and connecting with people online who might be interested in what you have to offer. Many call it “blogger outreach,” we also refer to it as “finding and connecting with your online champions” but whatever you name it, you apparently want to know more about it!
So, mark your calendars: we’re going to offer a live webinar on Thursday, June 30, 2011 about how to find those online champions.
Full info page and signups will be open soon – the cost will be US$29 for as many people as you can get in front of a computer. (Sure, there will be Q&A with us, and the slides and recording will also be available to attendees.)
Update: here’s the Online Champions webinar info and signup page.
As bloggers ourselves for many years, we know both sides of the outreach dance, so we think we have some unique perspectives and very helpful, specific advice for those who want to connect with online publishers.
This is NOT “Social Media 101″ and we won’t just talk about bloggers. Stay tuned for more details, and see you June 30!

Photos To Your Facebook Page
One way to more easily incorporate social media into your work flow is to use a smartphone to help create and distribute content.
If you already send photos up to your Facebook personal account from your phone, why not do the same with destination- or attraction-related pics up to your Facebook Page? Take them as you find them while you’re out and about in town. It’s an easy way to not only keep fresh content going, but if you’ve reviewed your Page Insights statistics lately, you know that images (and video) tend to get a lot of reaction.
The major phone OSs have Facebook applications to help you manage all this, but some are better than others.
Remember that you always have the option to email a photo from almost any phone to your Page. How? Go to the top right Edit Page button on your Facebook Page, then look to the left sidebar for the Mobile tab. Click that and you’ll see a page of options for getting content to your Page from a mobile device, including a Page-specific email address to use for photos and status updates.
